In June 2024, we held a key meeting with Fernando Barberi, the prosecutor against human trafficking, to reinforce prevention strategies focused on combating the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents. This meeting underscored the joint commitment of the authorities and our team to halt this grave crime, which affects the most vulnerable sectors of society.
During the meeting, we presented a series of educational programs designed to fight human trafficking, with a specific focus on protecting human rights and promoting unified action between different stakeholders.
Child Sexual Exploitation: An Urgent Challenge
Child sexual exploitation remains one of the most alarming aspects of human trafficking. Children and adolescents are often victimized by criminal networks operating in the shadows, and their protection requires not only punitive actions but also effective preventive strategies. In our discussion with Prosecutor Barberi, we analyzed how current policies are addressing this issue and identified areas that can be strengthened through closer collaboration between the prosecutor’s office, educational entities, and civil society.
A Step Forward in the Fight Against Child Trafficking
The meeting with Prosecutor Fernando Barberi marks a significant step in consolidating strategic alliances for the prevention of child sexual exploitation. By sharing our proposals and receiving his support, we reinforce the commitment to work together to protect younger generations from this scourge.
The focus on executive education and human rights becomes a central axis of our strategies, opening a new path toward greater awareness and effective action against human trafficking. This type of collaboration between the prosecutor’s office and specialized educational programs is essential for building a safer and fairer society for the children and adolescents of our country.
